I know. I know. I’ve been MIA on here for literal years. I’m sorry. While I had so much fun traveling and exploring while living in Milan, I also had a full time job working at the U.S. consulate and part of that job was writing travel information for the Americans in my community. So when I came home each night, the last thing I felt like doing was writing more.
But now… well things have changed! A lot actually. We have relocated back to the U.S. and while this blog won’t have a focus on life as an expat exclusively, I want to keep it up. I have plenty of stories to share about life in Europe as well as tips and tricks about travel over there. And more importantly, I probably have a lot to share about the process of repatriating into America. As hard as living abroad may be, it’s almost harder to come home. (Maybe not… but still.. it’s a challenge sometimes).
So I hope you all stick around to learn more about what life was like in Italy, what life is like repatriating, some travel ideas for this big country of mine, and a bonus of random ramblings.
Love from… Texas! Sam
Welcome back Samantha! Hope you acclimate to Texas.
